From January 1, 2024, “KazTransOil” will implement a new tariff for oil pumping for transit through the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the Kazakhstan section of the main pipeline “Tuymazy - Omsk - Novosibirsk-2” (“TON-2”), KazTransOil reports. The new tariff, approved by the order of the General Director (Chairman of the Management Board) of KazTransOil, will be $11.28 per 1 ton per 1000 km (excluding VAT).

Current tariff structure
Currently, the tariff for the service of “KazTransOil” for oil pumping for transit through the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan through the Kazakhstan section of the main pipeline “TON-2” is 4,292.4 tenge ($9.37) per 1 ton per 1000 km (without VAT). This tariff has been in effect since April 1, 2018.
Changes in 2024
From January 1, 2024, the cost of pumping oil for transit through the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan through the Kazakhstan section of the TON-2 main pipeline will be $2.1 per 1 ton (excluding VAT). This marks a significant change from the period of April 1, 2018, to December 31, 2023, when the cost of oil pumping for transit through the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan through the Kazakhstan section of the TON-2 main pipeline was 799.455 tenge ($1.74) per 1 ton (excluding VAT).
TON-2 main oil pipeline
The TON-2 main oil pipeline passes through the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Russian Federation. Oil is supplied to the Pavlodar Petrochemical Plant, and there is transit of Russian oil to the People’s Republic of China and the Republic of Uzbekistan on the Kazakhstan section of the TON-2 main oil pipeline with a length of 186.25 km.
