Representatives from Uzbekistan held a meeting with the president of LOT Polish Airlines, Mikhail Fiyol, in Poland, Dunyo reports.
As per the information provided by the Polish delegation, LOT Polish Airlines is set to inaugurate regular flights connecting Warsaw and Tashkent starting March 2024. Mikhail Fiyol expressed his sincere appreciation to the Embassy of Uzbekistan and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for their unwavering support during his summer visit to the country.
The president of LOT Polish Airlines, reflecting on the outcomes of his summer trip, highlighted the establishment of effective relationships with key stakeholders in Uzbekistan. This included representatives from the Ministry of Transport, Civil Aviation Agency, Uzbekistan Airports, and Uzbekistan Airways. Fiyol acknowledged the collaborative efforts that contributed to fostering strong ties between the airline and Uzbekistan's aviation authorities.
In continuation of established traditions, Mikhail Fiyol announced that on the inaugural flight between Warsaw and Tashkent, dignitaries from Poland, including the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, the Deputy Minister of Tourism, parliamentary representatives, and other officials, will be present.
Addressing the anticipated demand for the Warsaw-Tashkent route in 2024, Fiyol disclosed that the airline plans to operate four flights per week from April to June. This strategic schedule aims to accommodate the high travel demand and has the potential to transport up to 40,000 passengers annually.
