Uzbekistan's rising football talent, Abbosbek Faizullaev of CSKA Moscow and the national youth team, earns a nomination for the 2023 Best Young Player by the International Federation of Football History and Statistics (IFFHS). The award recognizes outstanding players under 20, born after January 1, 2003.
Competing against football sensations like Jude Bellingham (Real Madrid), Jamal Musiala (Bayern), Gavi (Barcelona), Florian Wirtz (Bayer Leverkusen), Xavi Simons (RB Leipzig), Lamin Yamal (Barcelona), Alejandro Balde (Barcelona), Rasmus Hoylund (Manchester United) and others. The IFFHS, with a global jury of journalists and football experts, will reveal the winner in January.
Since 1987, the IFFHS has annually organized votes and compiled statistics to honor global winners across various categories, all based on the calendar year, not the season. The international jury comprises IFFHS members, including sports journalists and football experts from 120 countries worldwide. The awards for World’s Best Goal Scorers, Club World Ranking, World Best Teams, and World Best Leagues rely on IFFHS statistics, globally recognized, with results slated for publication at the end of January 2023.
