    In a significant development for Uzbekistan's pharmaceutical industry, a meeting took place between representatives of the Pharmaceutical Industry Development Agency and the prominent German pharmaceutical company "Berlin-Chemie." The meeting focused on exploring potential collaboration and investment opportunities in the burgeoning Uzbek pharmaceutical market.

    The representatives from Berlin-Chemie, a company renowned for its production of drugs used in the treatment of chronic diseases, were introduced to the favorable investment climate that characterizes the pharmaceutical sector in Uzbekistan. The agency highlighted the various benefits and preferences available for investors, as well as provided insights into its ongoing activities.

    Heiko Schweigel, Head of the Chemie Foreign Trade Center at Berlin-Chemie, expressed considerable interest in the Uzbek pharmaceutical market. He emphasized the geographical advantage of Uzbekistan in Central Asia and highlighted the strategic opportunities for exporting pharmaceutical products to neighboring countries. Heiko Schweigel also revealed Berlin-Chemie's plans to establish pharmaceutical production facilities in Uzbekistan through fee-contract arrangements in the future.

    The director of the Pharmaceutical Industry Development Agency, Abdulla Azizov, proposed an exchange of experiences in the field of Research and Development (R&D) between the agency and Berlin-Chemie. This collaboration aims to foster innovation and technological advancement in the pharmaceutical sector, promoting mutual growth and development.
