INMerge Roadshow lands in Tashkent, spotlighting Central Asia’s evolving startup and investment ecosystem

The INMerge Innovation Summit has continued its Roadshow series with a stop in Tashkent, bringing together startup founders, investors, and corporate representatives to discuss developments in Central Asia’s digital economy.

Organized by PASHA Holding, the Tashkent session followed an earlier event in Istanbul and focused on how technology, investment, and ecosystem-building are shaping the region’s innovation landscape.
The event opened with a keynote by Caspar Craven, titled “You Can't Navigate a New World Using an Old Set of Charts: Why Change Demands a Different Mindset.” The talk focused on how leaders and organisations need to adapt their thinking in periods of rapid technological and economic change.
A panel discussion, “Building Everyday Ecosystems: Designing Products Around the Customer Journey,” examined how digital platforms are evolving in the region. Participants included Kevin Khanda, Anvar Isamukhamedov, Maxim Evdokimov, Semyon Morgunov, and Sergei Chekalkin. Moderated by Nargis Dustmatova, the discussion centred on how companies are integrating services, data, and user experience into unified platforms.
Another panel, “Can Capital Alone Build the Digital Silk Road or Are We Missing Something?”, focused on investment flows and long-term ecosystem development. Moderated by Behzod Ismoilov, it brought together Tughra Musayeva, Alim Khamitov, Daler Nodirov, Abdulazal Toshkhujaev, and Mustafa Kopuk. Speakers noted that while funding is important, sustainable growth also depends on talent pipelines, regulatory conditions, and regional cooperation.
The programme concluded with a startup pitch session, where selected teams were given the opportunity to advance to the main INMerge event in Baku on October 8-9, 2026. One startup was selected for a fully funded place, while two others received partial support.
The Tashkent stop highlighted the growing activity in the region’s startup and investment space, as well as increasing interaction between local and international ecosystem players.
