Currently, president Shavkat Mirziyoyev is delivering a presentation at the International Congress Center about the priority tasks for entrepreneurship development in Uzbekistan, press service of president reports.
The President noted that in the first six months of 2023, the number of inspections has decreased by 40% compared to the same period last year.
"In other words, entrepreneurs understand that it's better to operate correctly than to work in the shadows. That's why the submission of tax reports and the imposition of financial fines following chamber checks have been abolished", stated the head of state.
It is highlighted that in the past year, the number of small entrepreneurs increased by 40,000, medium-sized ones by 2,000, reaching a total of 10,000. The count of large enterprises grew by 400 in a year, totaling 1,500.
Utilizing the provided privileges, 155 enterprises achieved an annual turnover exceeding $100 mn within a year. For the first time, the annual volume of foreign investments reached $10 bn.
"Over the past two years, following open dialogues by our enterprises, $25 bn worth of products have been exported, and $10 bn worth of previously imported products have been localized," said Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
It was previously reported that Shavkat Mirziyoyev had signed an order to award a group of industry representatives on the occasion of Entrepreneur's Day.
