The recent video uploaded by Instagram influencer Gulzoda Abdullayeva, widely known as "Chechenka," has ignited extensive debates and discussions. The footage, featuring Abdullayeva presenting a second wife to her husband, prompted legal action and culminated in a court session held on August 15, Daryo reported.
The press secretary of the Supreme Court provided Daryo with details of the verdict issued in response to the incident involving the blogger. The court revealed that on August 9, Gulzoda Abdullayeva, better known as "Chechenka," endorsed the concept of polygamy, resulting in a perceived breach of public order. In a surprising move, she marked her husband's birthday by "gifting" him a woman as a second wife, leading to widespread reactions and debates.
Blogger's defense
During the court session, Gulzoda Abdullayeva maintained that the video was intended as a joke, asserting her regret over the situation. She assured the court that similar incidents would not occur in the future, emphasizing her responsibilities as a parent to two minor children. Abdullayeva also disclosed her current pregnancy and pleaded for leniency.
Court's verdict
Taking into consideration several factors, including Abdullayeva's parental responsibilities and her clean record with regards to such offenses, the court rendered its decision. Citing Article 21 of the Code of Administrative Responsibility, the court ruled that Gulzoda Abdullayeva be exempted from legal repercussions and instead be issued a warning.
