Some information has spread on social networks and websites, claiming that 30 U.S. biological laboratories which were previously located in Ukraine have been transferred to Kazakhstan, Tengrinews reports.
"This is a fake, the placement of bio laboratories of other countries on the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan is not planned and is not being planned," said the Ministry of Health in response to the claims.
In the last few years, foreign media and social networks have been spreading information about the creation of biological weapons in the U.S. bio labs. These and other rumors have been denied by experts.
In November 2022, Daniel N. Rosenblum, the U.S. ambassador to Kazakhstan, commented on the rumors surrounding the bio laboratory in Almaty.
"Everything that the United States has done in Kazakhstan and the region over the past 30 years has been done in cooperation with the government and with their permission. In particular, there are tacit agreements on the non-proliferation of weapons of mass destruction. Such information attacks by propagandists are understood in such a way that they believe that the governments of Kazakhstan and other countries are, so to speak, gullible fools. In my opinion, this is an insult not only to Kazakhstan but also to Georgia, the Ukrainian government, and everyone. Now, in global practice, everyone is engaged in the non-proliferation of mass weapons," said Rosenblum.
