A delegation of Turkmenistan led by Deputy Prime Minister Baimurad Annamammedov during a working visit to South Korea discussed the implementation of joint major projects, the Foreign Ministry of Turkmenistan reports.
The talks were held with the leadership and business peoples of South Korea: Prime Minister Han Duck-soo, Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy Lee Chang-yang, head of Daewoo Engineering and Construction Jung Won-joo and chairman of the Korea International Trade Association (KITA) Christopher Koo.
"The parties discussed issues of expanding bilateral cooperation in the areas of trade, economy, energy, transport, information and communication technologies, ecology."

The statement said bilateral meetings were also held with representatives of the Export-Import Bank K-EXIM, Korea Trade and Insurance Corporation K-SURE, Hyundai, LX International Corp, Omnisystem Co. Ltd, Olive Union, Poonglim Pharmatech, SK Telecom, LS Cable & System, LG CNS, Stealien and Rovigos.
As of 2022, more than a dozen projects involving South Korean companies have been registered in Turkmenistan, totalling more than $11bn.
