A large quantity of counterfeit banknotes was burned in Termez, Surkhandarya region, according to the Surkhandarya Information and Mass Communications Agency.
A resident of Termez produced counterfeit banknotes in the denomination of $4 (50,000 uzbek sum), amounting to a total of $28,000. The destruction of the counterfeit money was ordered by the Termez City Court as part of a criminal case against the counterfeiter, who was apprehended by law enforcement agencies.
According to the regional MIB (Ministry of Internal Affairs) information service, this executive document was taken up for processing by the Termez City MIB Department.
The counterfeit money was subsequently destroyed in accordance with established procedures at a designated site in the Termez district.
