On July 18, the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, arrived in Saudi Arabia on a business visit, responding to an invitation from King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the press service of the president reported.
Upon his arrival at Jeddah International Airport, President Mirziyoyev was welcomed by Prince Badr bin Sultan Al Saud, the deputy governor of the Makkah region, and other officials.
The key events of the visit include a summit meeting between the heads of state in the format of the "Cooperation Council of Central Asia-Gulf Arab States" and scheduled bilateral discussions on July 19.
Earlie Daryo mentioned that the summit seeks to unite leaders from Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates, Oman, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Turkmenistan. These nations will convene to foster interregional collaboration across a range of areas, such as politics, trade, economy, investment, culture, and humanitarian endeavors. Additionally, the summit will tackle important topics concerning global and regional politics.
