Over the past year, there has been a substantial 29% rise in the cost of air transportation services, media reports.
The data was analyzed by Finprom.kz, which found that the five regions with the highest increase were Mangistau, Atyrau, Kyzylorda, Kostanay, and Zhetysu.
However, Almaty and Ulytau saw a decrease in air transport prices.
Additionally, experts calculated that the airline industry generated revenues of KZT 205bn (nearly $55mn) in the first four months of 2023, with most of the profit coming from passenger transport.
