A cordial reception was extended by Harris Lipscomb, the Public Diplomacy Officer of the U.S. Embassy Tashkent, and Nargiza Kuchkarova, the Head of the Teacher Training Department at Uzbekistan's Ministry of Preschool and School Education, to a group of 40 American English teacher experts visiting the Central Asian country, as per a report by the U.S. Embassy in Tashkent.
The experts have been entrusted with leading a 120-hour English language training program, titled English-Speaking Nation: English Summer Excellence Training (ESN: ESET), for 520 secondary school English teachers in Uzbekistan.
The ESN: ESET is a comprehensive 16-day training program aimed at enhancing the speaking, writing, listening, and teaching skills of Uzbekistani English teachers. From June 19 to July 8, the 40 English teacher experts will provide comprehensive language support and practice to 52 secondary school teachers across various cities in Uzbekistan. The program will focus on building confidence in using English in everyday activities, classroom instruction, and student communication. Local teachers will collaborate with English teacher experts, and the program will equip them with the necessary tools to enhance their teaching skills.
The ESN: STT aims to enhance the English language competency and teaching skills of 15,000 English teachers in Uzbekistan over three years.
