Elon Musk, the owner of the popular social media platform Twitter, announced that user-generated content monetization is now available on the platform.
“Apply to offer your users a subscription to anything from long text to hours of video. Just click "Monetization" in the settings," Musk wrote on his Twitter page.
Content creators are reportedly set to receive all funds from subscribers during the first year, excluding the commission of payment systems. Then Twitter plans to start taking its share. However, according to Musk, it will be a small amount.
The service is also expected to offer users mechanisms for content promotion.
