Only 1% of inflation was recorded in Uzbekistan in March 2023, Statistics Agency reports.
Consumer prices have increased by 2.4% since the beginning of the year. Annual inflation decreased to 11.7%. This is the lowest figure since May 2022.
In March, prices for the restaurant and hotel services increased by 2.8%. This indicator was 1.6% for food products and non-alcoholic beverages, and 1.43% for alcohol and tobacco products.
In the last month, food products ranked first in price growth. Annual price growth for this group reached 14.6%, the highest indicator in the last three years.
In March, compared to February, the price of pumpkin increased by (29.8%), tomato (by 20.2%), cabbage (by 17.1%), and greens (by 15%) increased sharply.
Onion prices fell by 1.4% last month but rose by 135.5% compared to March 2022.
