The Republic of Uzbekistan, a member state of the GSP+ system of preferences, is ready to boost exports to the European Union (EU) to $700mn next year and broaden the range of exports to 600 goods, Uzbekistan’s Foreign Minister Vladimir Norov has stated at the EU-Central Asia ministerial meeting in the historic city Samarkand.
The head of the governmental department explained that Uzbekistan is committed to exporting finished products of textile, furniture and agro-industry, leather and carpets, and jewelry.
Besides, Foreign Minister Vladimir Norov highlighted the importance of elaborating a long-term strategic program to deepen trade and economic ties and advance transport and communication cooperation alongside a joint program to promote trade between Central Asia (CA) and the European Union (EU).
