The gold collection of the Emir of Bukhara was in Rome, the capital of Italy. Paola Damore, a representative of the famous National Museum of Art of the Peoples of the East, informed about this at the 6th International Congress in Samarkand, writes blogger Shahnoza Soatova.
Damore said in her speech that the gold collection of the Emir of Bukhara is kept in the "Giuseppe Tucci" museum in Rome.
"This was one of the biggest news for me personally from the congress. The guest also mentioned that the museum contains artefacts from the Kushan era - necklaces, rings, bracelets, earrings and gold ingots, and various decorative jewellery related to the history of Uzbekistan," Shahnoza Soatova said.
Paola Damore expressed special interest in the 60-volume book album "Uzbekistan's cultural heritage in world collections" and expressed her support for the work carried out by the World Society. The VI International Congress of the World Society for the Preservation, Study and Popularization of the Cultural Heritage of Uzbekistan was organized under the auspices of the Eriell Group.
