An Uzbek refereeing team led by FIFA referee Ilgiz Tantashev has been appointed to officiate the FIFA World Cup group-stage match between Algeria and Austria, marking the officials' second assignment at the 2026 tournament.
Tantashev will oversee the Group Stage Matchday 3 fixture, while assistant referees Andrey Sapenko and Timur Gaynullin will serve on the sidelines.
The match is scheduled to kick off on June 28 at 07:00 Tashkent time as the group stage enters its decisive final round.
The appointment marks Tantashev's second appearance at the tournament after he officiated the second-round group-stage match between Scotland and Morocco.
