Uzbek citizens can apply for organized employment in Belarus under an interstate labor migration agreement, with vacancies available across several industries and salaries starting from $700, according to Uzbekistan's Migration Agency.
The agency announced that it has begun accepting applications from citizens interested in working in Belarus through an organized recruitment program conducted under the bilateral agreement on labor migration.
The program offers employment opportunities at major Belarusian enterprises and organizations. Participants may travel to Belarus either individually or together with their family members.
According to the agency, monthly salaries start from $700, with final pay depending on the applicant's qualifications, professional skills, and work experience.
Vacancies are available in agriculture and livestock farming, forestry, transportation for truck drivers, construction, operation of special equipment including excavators and tractors, veterinary medicine, and metalworking and welding.
Applications are open to Uzbek citizens aged between 18 and 50 who possess a valid driver's license and documents confirming their qualification to operate special equipment where required. Applicants must also not be subject to a ban on entering Russia.
The employer will provide free accommodation in dormitories, assist with the preparation of required documents, and cover travel expenses, including airfare.
The Migration Agency also advised citizens against traveling independently to Belarus in search of work, noting that participation in the organized recruitment program provides guaranteed employment under a signed labor contract, as well as monitoring of occupational safety conditions.
During President Shavkat Mirziyoyev's visit to Minsk on July 9, Uzbekistan and Belarus signed a labor migration agreement aimed at expanding organized employment opportunities for Uzbek citizens. During the visit, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko cited labor shortages in the country and invited Uzbek workers to relocate with their families.
The initiative moved forward on July 13, when the first group of 255 Uzbek citizens arrived in Belarus to work in the agriculture and livestock sectors. The deployment was organized under a tripartite agreement between the Andijan Regional Khokimiyat, Uzbekistan's Migration Agency, and the Committee on Labor, Employment, and Social Protection of Belarus' Vitebsk Region.
On July 14, Lukashenko announced plans to recruit an additional 5,000 workers from Uzbekistan through an organized recruitment program. The vacancies will cover agriculture, construction, industry, services, and junior medical positions.
