Premier Electronics, an Uzbek manufacturer of household appliances, has signed a $2mn export agreement to supply electrical appliances to Syria, according to the Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
The agreement follows a visit by a delegation from Kalash Trading Company, one of Syria's largest commodity distributors, to Premier Electronics' production facilities earlier this week. During the visit, the delegation toured the factory and reviewed the company's manufacturing process for televisions, refrigerators, air conditioners, and washing machines.
The parties also held discussions on expanding exports of Uzbek-made household appliances to the Syrian market. Following the negotiations, they signed a contract valued at $2mn.
According to the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the agreement covers the supply of a wide range of electrical appliances to Syria. The exports are expected to expand the presence of Uzbek-made products in the Middle East.
In November 2025, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev announced measures to increase exports to Iraq, Syria, and Afghanistan, highlighting demand in those markets for automobiles, household appliances, textiles, and other goods produced in Uzbekistan.
