President Shavkat Mirziyoyev reviewed the design of a fountain complex on March 24, planned for construction in New Tashkent as part of ongoing urban development initiatives aimed at expanding public and recreational infrastructure.
The project includes the construction of a musical fountain on an area of approximately 8 hectares. The central element of the complex will be a reservoir with a total water surface area of 6.3 hectares, within which a 1.5-hectare zone will be designated for water, light, and music shows.
According to the design specifications, the complex will include a superfountain capable of projecting water to a height of up to 232 meters. A floating platform with a diameter of 100 meters will also be installed within the reservoir. In addition, the system will be designed to create a circular water screen with a radius of 185 meters, enabling 360-degree projection of visual content.
The technical infrastructure of the complex will incorporate laser projection systems, dynamic water mechanisms, and various visual effects. Core equipment, including pumping systems, electrical installations, and laser projectors, will be housed in a two-story underground structure supporting the operation of the complex.
The surrounding area will include landscaped green spaces as well as facilities for visitor services. The site is intended to support cultural events, public gatherings, and seasonal activities.
During the presentation, particular attention was given to technical solutions, project content, and the organization of adjacent infrastructure. The need to ensure the availability of retail, dining, and service facilities for visitors was highlighted. Plans also include hosting events dedicated to Independence Day at the site following initial stages of development.
