Uzbekistan produced 457,883 passenger cars in 2025, marking a year-on-year increase of 28,700 vehicles, according to the official data from the National Statistics Committee.
Cobalt remained the most produced model, accounting for 161,152 units, outpacing all other passenger cars manufactured in the country during the year. The model continues to dominate domestic production amid steady demand in the mass-market segment.
Other high-volume models included Damas, with 93,681 units, followed by Tracker (50,362) and Onix (33,122). Production of special-purpose passenger vehicles also remained notable, totaling 54,301 units.
At the same time, output expanded across international brands assembled in Uzbekistan. KIA vehicles reached 26,317 units, while Chinese manufacturers recorded rising volumes, with BYD producing 20,200 cars, Chery 9,354, and Haval 9,344. Limited production was also reported for Tank 500, with 50 units manufactured.
It was earlier reported that Uzbekistan aims to more than double passenger car output by 2030 under the draft Uzbekistan-2030 strategy, with production set to rise from 460,000 units in 2026 to nearly 1mn vehicles by the end of the decade.
