The first pilot cargo transportation was successfully carried out along the new Uzbekistan-Kyrgyzstan-China-Mongolia transport corridor on June 5, the Ministry of Transport of Uzbekistan announced.
This pilot shipment was organized in cooperation with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, aiming to open new markets for products made by Uzbek entrepreneurs and to establish regular cargo transport along this strategic road corridor.
According to the Ministry’s statement, the effective collaboration between Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, China, and Mongolia has paved the way for new opportunities to boost trade turnover and deepen transport and logistics ties across the region.
The corridor is expected to significantly increase export and import cargo volumes between these countries, broaden the geography of trade relations, and reduce delivery times for goods.
“In light of the current challenges in the global logistics market, developing this corridor is crucial for Uzbek national carriers. It will help expand their business, improve efficiency, and strengthen their competitive positions both regionally and globally,” the ministry added.
The corridor runs from Uzbekistan through Kyrgyzstan to China and further into Mongolia. This route provides a vital alternative for freight transport across Eurasia, particularly enhancing access to the Chinese and Mongolian markets.
