Malaysia's Aerodyne Group, a leading drone technology company, is considering entering the Uzbek market, according to Dunyo news agency.

Aerodyne’s CEO, Kamarul Muhamed, recently met with Uzbekistan's ambassador to Malaysia, Karomiddin Gadoev, to discuss potential cooperation. The talks focused on integrating drone technology into Uzbekistan’s agricultural sector.
Initially, Aerodyne plans to introduce agricultural drone services. In the long term, the company aims to invest in the production of hybrid drones tailored to Uzbekistan’s conditions. Additionally, Aerodyne has expressed interest in establishing a joint training center to develop specialists in UAV operation and software development.
This initiative aligns with previous collaborations between Malaysia and Uzbekistan. In late 2024, Malaysia’s Meraque Group signed a memorandum of cooperation with Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Agriculture to create a UAV ecosystem.
Meraque has pledged an investment of MYR 20mn (approximately $4.7mn) and is in discussions to establish a drone production facility in the Yangiyul district.
Founded in 2014, Aerodyne Group specializes in drone-based solutions for agriculture, logistics, security, and infrastructure inspection. The company operates in eight countries and manages a fleet of over 800 drones.
