The XIX meeting of the Forum of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) will take place in Uzbekistan's Tashkent on June 5, chaired by the Uzbek side and organized by the Institute for Strategic and Regional Studies under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan (ISRS).
The Forum will address the theme, “The Role of the SCO in New Conditions: Uniting Efforts for Universal Security, Stability, and Prosperity.” Over 40 experts from 10 countries, including representatives from national research centres of SCO member states, specialists from SCO observer states and dialogue partners, and leaders from the SCO Secretariat and the SCO RATS Executive Committee, will participate.
The agenda includes three main sessions focused on:
1. Priority Areas of Cooperation within the SCO
2. Enhancing the Effectiveness of the SCO at the Current Stage of Development
3. Further Prospects for Improving SCO Forum Activities
The Forum will conclude with the signing of the Protocol, which will document the approaches and visions of SCO member states on the discussed issues.
