President Alexander Lukashenko of Belarus to embark on an official visit to Tashkent on February 7, as announced by the press service of the President of Uzbekistan.
The visit is marked by a comprehensive agenda aimed at enhancing the multifaceted cooperation between Uzbekistan and Belarus. Central to the discussions are strategies to bolster mutual trade turnover and foster collaboration across various sectors, including agriculture, light and food industries, pharmaceuticals, and communications.
Additionally, the two countries are set to explore partnership development programs in vocational education, healthcare, culture, sports, and tourism. The visit aims to culminate in the adoption of a package of bilateral documents to solidify the agreements reached during negotiations.
Preceding President Lukashenko's arrival, several business events unfolded in Tashkent, including the second Interregional Forum and a meeting of the Business Council, involving representatives from both countries' regions and business circles.
The visit follows the arrival of Deputy Prime Minister Leonid Zayats in Tashkent the previous day to participate in the Interregional Forum, where numerous businessmen from both nations engaged in discussions.
Accompanying President Lukashenko are key officials, including the Minister of Foreign Affairs and other ministers, as well as a delegation from the city of Minsk.
