From February 1 to February 3, Almaty will host the much-anticipated Digital Almaty 2024 digital forum, themed "Industry X: Digital Evolution of the Future." Now in its sixth edition, the forum is set to bring together statesmen from the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) and the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) countries, along with leading experts and entrepreneurs, Ministry of Digital Development, Innovations and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan reported. This gathering aims to facilitate the exchange of experiences and ideas, shaping a new era in the digital industry.
A highlight of the forum is the Industry 4.0 Startup Battle, a large-scale competition for the title of the best industrial startup. The event will also feature an exhibition showcasing Kazakhstan's prominent subsoil users, technological companies, and enterprises sharing insights into IT projects.
This year's Digital Almaty promises an extensive business program, delving into digital transformation in various industries and innovative solutions in GovTech, industry 4.0, ESG, Smart City, and more. The three-day digital event anticipates hosting over 30,000 attendees.
Bagdat Mussin, Minister of Digital Development, Innovation, and Aerospace Industry, emphasized the importance of the digital industry in Kazakhstan's GDP.
"In the new year, new digital solutions are needed to help establish business processes in the economy. The forum site provides ample opportunities for presentation and discussion of key trends, projects, and technologies in this industry," he stated.
The forum will feature over 200 speakers, including international experts, industry leaders, and innovators in IT and business. Panel discussions will cover successful cases of implementing new technologies in the real sector of the economy and innovation.
Digital Almaty, recognized by global experts, convened last year with more than 150 speakers discussing topics such as digital mining, public administration, crypto exchanges, cybersecurity, education, and corporate innovation. The forum served as the platform for the inaugural international championship in robotics and engineering projects, the Digital Ministry Cup, for school children.
The event also introduced the Tech Garden Awards, recognizing industrial and manufacturing enterprises for their innovative projects in production processes. The plenary session of the forum saw the participation of heads of government from EAEU countries, focusing on sustainable digital infrastructure and telecommunications technologies.
Organized by the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Akimat of Almaty, and the Autonomous Cluster Fund "Park of Innovative Technologies" (Tech Garden), Digital Almaty continues to be a tradition and platform for discussions about the digital agenda of EAEU countries.
