US-based VISA is inviting Turkmenistan to cooperate in the development of cashless payments, the company's head of government relations, Zhanna Disenbina, told an economic forum in Ashgabat.
"We would like to increase the number of customers using digital services by providing hi-tech solutions, resources, POS terminals for payments and the possibility of payments between companies through the VISA system, while ensuring that payments are made not only within the country but also abroad," TASS quoted her as saying.
The VISA global cashless payment system has been operating in Turkmenistan since 1994. The State Bank for Foreign Economic Activity of Turkmenistan has played an important role in its introduction.
Recently, this financial institution introduced VISA Classic Syýahat with travel options and Milli VISA for contactless payments via the Internet
