The U.S.-Turkmen Business Council, which promotes bilateral trade and investment relations, will hold its annual meeting in Ashgabat from 5 to 7 December.
According to the Council, a Washington-based non-profit organisation, the mission will include roundtable discussions with senior Turkmen government officials.
The Business Council was established in 2008 and its executive director is Eric Stewart. The delegation includes representatives from companies such as Climate Compass, Case New Holland, Honeywell, John Deere, Palo Alto Networks, Visa and Westport Trading Europe Ltd.
Experts told Daryo that Turkmenistan does not receive significant foreign direct investment from the US and most business activity has been export-related.
General Electric, Boeing and John Deere have established themselves as major suppliers of industrial equipment.
Trade turnover between the United States and Turkmenistan from January to August 2022 was $69.1mn, according to the U.S. Federal Statistical System. Mutual trade reached $100.9mn in 2021 and $46.8mn in 2020.
