President Rahmon acknowledged the vital role of the World Bank in supporting Tajikistan's efforts to address the consequences of climate change and implement preventive measures. He highlighted the importance of the World Bank's contributions to financing adaptation initiatives, emphasizing its role as one of Tajikistan's main development partners.

Expressing satisfaction with the existing level of cooperation, President Rahmon and President Banga delved into various areas of collaboration, including water and energy, agriculture, environment and rural development, economic policy, health, education, urban planning, and poverty reduction.

Of particular importance was the discussion surrounding the ongoing "CASA-1000" high-voltage transmission line project, aimed at connecting the energy markets of Central and South Asia through Afghanistan. President Rahmon emphasized the need to continue this strategic project, recognizing its potential to enhance regional energy security.

Currently, the World Bank is actively involved in financing 28 projects in Tajikistan, with a cumulative investment of $1.5bn. The projects cover a wide range of sectors, reflecting the comprehensive nature of the partnership between Tajikistan and the World Bank.
