During his official visit to Japan on November 18, President Sadyr Japarov of the Kyrgyz Republic engaged in a meeting with Takatoshi Nishiwaki, the Governor of Kyoto Prefecture.
The Governor, extending a warm welcome to the distinguished guests, expressed satisfaction with the consistently advancing bilateral relations between Kyrgyzstan and Japan across various domains. He highlighted the significant milestone of last year, commemorating the 30th anniversary of diplomatic ties between the two nations.
Governor Nishiwaki expressed confidence that President Japarov's visit to Japan would elevate the bilateral relations to new heights. President Japarov, conveyed gratitude on behalf of the Kyrgyz delegation and personally, appreciated the warm reception in Japan's ancient capital, often referred to as "the city of a thousand temples."
Sharing his impressions of the Land of the Rising Sun, particularly the city of Kyoto, President Japarov lauded Japan for its distinctive ability to seamlessly blend tradition and modernity. He underscored the valuable lessons that can be gleaned from the Japanese approach. The Kyrgyz President emphasized the optimistic outlook for the future of the bilateral partnership, drawing on the positive outcomes of the preceding meetings held in Tokyo.
