Mirzamahudov outlined ambitious plans for 2023, with approximately 2 gigawatts of new renewable energy capacities set to be operational, encompassing solar, wind, and hydropower projects. He projected a substantial increase in electricity production, stating,
"If we plan to produce 120bn kWh of electricity by 2030, then 40% will be from renewable energy sources."
In addition to domestic efforts, Mirzamahmudov unveiled plans for an "Economic Cooperation Organization Member States Office on Green Energy" in Baku.
