Kyrgyzstan has established five key development goals to be achieved by 2024, as announced by Akylbek Japarov, the head of the Cabinet of Ministers, during the National Poverty and Inequality Development Forum. The government's accomplishments in the past three years have set the stage for these ambitious objectives, aiming to create a resilient and prosperous state.
The five key development goals outlined by the head of the Cabinet of Ministers are as follows:
Strengthening Institutional Capacity: The first goal involves enhancing the institutional capacity of the state, particularly in the fields of financial management and administrative reform. This objective aims to create a more efficient and responsive government structure.
Education and Healthcare Quality: The second goal focuses on improving the quality of services in education and healthcare. Recognizing that these areas are fundamental to innovative development and social well-being, the government is committed to enhancing these services for its citizens.
Sustainable Economic Growth: The third goal emphasizes the development and implementation of strategies to promote sustainable economic growth and job creation. Special attention will be directed towards regional development, ensuring that economic opportunities are distributed more evenly across the country.
International Cooperation and Resource Mobilization: The fourth goal seeks to expand cooperation with international partners to mobilize resources, access new technologies and knowledge, and enter global financial markets. A strong emphasis will be placed on promoting exports and attracting foreign investment, boosting the country's economic resilience.
Environmental Sustainability: The final goal is aimed at promoting environmental sustainability and mitigating the effects of global climate change adaptation. Kyrgyzstan recognizes the importance of addressing environmental challenges and is committed to implementing measures to protect its natural resources.
