In preparation for the approaching cold weather, a new pavilion for greeters has been completed in the arrivals area of Uzbekistan Airports, enhancing the passenger experience for those welcoming travelers. The new facility, which opened on November 2, provides a dedicated waiting area for greeters.
Situated in parking lot P2 within the international airport's arrivals area, the pavilion covers a total area of 500 square meters. This space offers comfortable seating for individuals waiting to greet arriving passengers. Additionally, there are plans to introduce a cafe and a flower shop, further enhancing the amenities. Future installations include vending machines, ATMs, and charging stations for mobile devices, ensuring the convenience of those visiting the airport.
Newly constructed pavilion is a temporary solution, with a long-term project underway to expand the existing terminal. This expansion project, currently in its final stages of development, will provide enhanced facilities and services for individuals greeting and bidding farewell to travelers.
Earlier Daryo reported hand luggage will now undergo security checks by aviation officers, eliminating the need for passengers to undergo redundant state inspections. Customs officials will be called upon to examine any items that are subject to export restrictions or exceed established limits.
