Shavkat Mirziyoyev embarked on a significant visit to Tatarstan, where he had the opportunity to explore the "Qozon Kremlin," a captivating museum complex that weaves together a rich tapestry of history and art. This visit was officially announced by the Presidential Press Service.
Rustam Minnixanov, the President of Tatarstan, accompanied the distinguished guest during this excursion. The "Qozon Kremlin" holds the esteemed status of being included in UNESCO's prestigious World Heritage List. This remarkable site constitutes the oldest section of Qozon, brimming with historical, archaeological, and cultural treasures that beautifully reflect the city's diverse and storied heritage.
President Mirziyoyev's itinerary also included a visit to the Kul Sharif Mosque. During this part of the tour, Kamil Samigullin, the head of Tatarstan's Muslim religious administration, offered a profound glimpse into the mosque's illustrious history. The visit culminated in a moving prayer ceremony.
The mosque, known as the Kul Sharif Mosque, stands on the very spot where the Juma Mosque once graced the landscape from the 16th century until 1996-2005, bearing the revered name of Imam Kul Sharif.
Furthermore, in the company of Tatarstan's Metropolitan Kirill, the state leaders honored the awe-inspiring Blagoveshchensk Cathedral with their presence. This venerable sanctuary, nestled within the Qozon Kremlin, dates back to the 16th century and stands as a remarkable testament to Pskov's architectural legacy.
