During his official visit to the United States, Deputy Minister of Transport of Uzbekistan, Zhasurbek Choriev, held a productive meeting with Emir Peneda, the Director of Marketing and Sales at Miami International Airport, as reported by the Ministry of Transport's press service.
The discussions revolved around various aspects related to the advancement of cooperation in the realm of civil aviation. A significant point of focus was the potential commencement of regular flight operations connecting Tashkent and Miami airports, as highlighted in the press release.
It's noteworthy that in the year 2022, Miami Airport served more than 50 million passengers, and it managed to achieve remarkable growth, especially in cargo transportation, swiftly rebounding from the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Earlier, Daryo reported that Uzbekistan Airports is implementing new security measures, including hand luggage checks, surveillance cameras, and customs inspections to enhance efficiency. Additionally, a vehicle arrival system is being introduced at the Tashkent-3 domestic terminal.
