    Kyrgyzstan and IsDB discuss expanding collaboration

    President Sadyr Japarov held a meeting with the President of the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB), Muhammad Sulaiman Al Jasser. During the meeting, both parties engaged in discussions concerning various aspects of their collaboration, including the progress of joint projects between Kyrgyzstan and the IsDB, as well as the prospects for broadening their cooperation.

    President Japarov underscored the significance that the Kyrgyz government places on its partnership with the Islamic Development Bank and conveyed gratitude for the support provided to enhance the country's socio-economic development. He placed special emphasis on the energy sector within the nation and indicated that comprehensive programs of large-scale projects are slated for the next five years. These initiatives aim to significantly augment energy generation capacity and revamp the primary power-generating facilities by constructing new hydroelectric power plants.

    Furthermore, President Japarov touched upon a pivotal project in the transportation domain, specifically the construction of the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway.

    On his part, Muhammad Sulaiman Al Jasser commended the strong level of cooperation between the Islamic Development Bank and Kyrgyzstan. He expressed a willingness to further diversify the areas of collaboration with the Kyrgyz side and reinforce the bilateral relationship.

    The President of the IsDB expressed satisfaction with the priority projects outlined by President Japarov and conveyed optimism for the continued successful partnership focused on advancing Kyrgyzstan's socio-economic development.
