Komil Allamjanov has been appointed as the Head of the Information Policy Department of the President's Administration.
The president of Uzbekistan has signed the corresponding decree. Born in 1984 in Tashkent, Komil Allamjanov graduated from the Uzbek State Institute of Arts and Culture in 2006 and from the Tashkent State Economic University in 2010. He worked at the Tax Committee from 2005 to 2013.
Earlier, Daryo reported that Komil Allamjonov said "It's time to adopt the legislation regarding the use of chemical castration against pedophiles in Uzbekistan."
In December 2017, Komil Allamjanov took over as the spokesperson for the President of Uzbekistan. In November 2018, he became the head of the Press and Information Agency of Uzbekistan (reorganized as the Information and Mass Communications Agency under the President's Administration in February 2019).
He started his career as the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Media Support Fund in January 2020 and became the Deputy Head of the President's Administration in July 2022.
