Favorable weather is forecasted in most of Kazakhstan on August 21, but adverse weather is expected in Aktobe, Almaty, Astana, Atyrau, Ridder, and Ust-Kamenogorsk (Oskemen), media reports.
Adverse weather conditions can cause harmful substances to accumulate in the surface layer of atmospheric air and reduce air quality in populated areas.
The forecast of synoptic conditions is an important factor in determining pollution levels.
In particular, in Astana, it will be partly cloudy with no chance of rain. The wind speed will be 3-8 m/s. Overnight temperatures will range from +13 to +15°C, while daytime highs will reach +29 to +31°C.
In Almaty, it will be partly cloudy with no expected rainfall. The wind is predicted to reach up to 5 m/s. Overnight temperatures will range between +18 to +20°C, while daytime temperatures will range between +32 to +34°C.
Shymkent will be partly cloudy with no chance of rain and winds of 8-13 m/s. The temperature will be around +19 to +21°C at night and +36 to +38°C during the day.
Most of Kazakhstan on August 22 will experience heavy rainfall and thunderstorms due to well-heated and unstable air masses in the atmosphere. The country's west, northwest, and north are expected to be hit hardest with hail and gusty winds.
