The President of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, recently convened a meeting with members of the government, and heads of various government departments and agencies to discuss ways to improve the country's macroeconomic indicators, the formulation of the State budget and measures to promote the use of non-cash payment methods.
In particular, the President instructed responsible individuals to focus on developing industrial enterprises, ensuring high-speed internet, affordable prices, and attracting investments in the national economy.
Besides, Emomali Rahmon emphasized the importance of implementing the "On measures to expand non-cash payment methods" decree in a timely manner.
As per recent media reports citing Speedtest Global Index, Tajikistan ranked 133rd in the world for mobile speeds and 133rd for fixed broadband speeds in May 2023.
