The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, Bakhtiyor Saidov, led a delegation that participated in the ministerial meeting of the Coordination Bureau of the Non-Aligned Movement held in Baku on July 5 and shared information on Uzbekistan's future role on his social media page.
Saidov says that the meeting included delegations from 93 countries and 11 international organizations. The participants discussed various regional and global issues, as well as the short and long-term directions of the Non-Aligned Movement.
Saidov expressed gratitude to all the members for their support of Uzbekistan's candidacy for the chairmanship of the Non-Aligned Movement in the years 2027-2029. He also thanked Mr. Jeyhun Bayramov and the organizers for their hospitality.
Earlier, in March, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev proposed the establishment of a special monitoring and scientific research network within the Non-Aligned Movement. The president emphasized the importance of overcoming challenges together and supporting each other.
Uzbekistan is committed to strengthening the activities of the global platform to achieve the main goals of the Sendai Hadli program until 2030.
