In the Chinaz district of the Tashkent region, a farmer burned stubble remnants on an area of 11.6 hectares, causing damage to mulberry trees at the edge of the field, rendering them incapable of further growth, Gazeta.uz reports with reference to the Ministry of Ecology's press service report.
The overall ecological damage is estimated to exceed $10 287 USD. Messages circulating on social media claim that stubble remnants were being burned on vacant land in Chinaz, located in the Tashkent region. The Ministry of Ecology's press service reported that their staff members investigated the incident on-site.
It was determined that on the fallow land owned by the farm in the Chinaz district, 11.6 hectares of stubble remnants were set on fire. As a result, 17 mulberry trees, planted in a row along the field boundary, sustained such significant damage that they will no longer be able to grow.
The soil has suffered a loss of humus and nitrogen, resulting in a fertility disruption valued at $2.151, while the plant life has incurred damage worth $6 411. The total extent of the damage, including the loss of trees, amounted to $10 287 USD.
