The Minister of Investment, Industry, and Trade of Uzbekistan, Laziz Kudratov, on June 23 met with Josef Lasselsberger, the Director-General of "The Lasselsberger Group" based in Austria.
Reportedly, Lasselsberger expressed a strong interest in enhancing cooperation with Uzbekistan, citing the support of the country's leadership for foreign investors.
The two parties discussed implementing projects for microcalcite production in the Kashkadarya region and large-format porcelain tiles in the Samarkand region and agreed on a joint action plan to implement these initiatives.
The Lasselsberger Group, which has been in operation since 1957 and specializes in building materials, ceramics, and minerals, owns 30 production enterprises in 26 countries with an annual turnover of $20bn, according to the Ministry of Investment, Industry, and Trade.
