During his election campaign in Ferghana, Shavkat Mirziyoyev promised the speedy restoration of the burnt-out Buyuk Ipak Yoli market in Kokand within a month, the press service of the UzLiDeP party, of which he is a presidential candidate, reports.
"Rest assured, dear entrepreneurs of Kokand, we stand by your side. No one will face their challenges alone!" — said the president.
The current President also stressed that all efforts and resources will be attracted to restore the market, and entrepreneurs will be given the opportunity to continue working in their former stores. In addition, the measures taken also include deferral of payments on loans and taxes for affected entrepreneurs, as well as the allocation of preferential loans for working capital. Shavkat Mirziyoyev also announced plans to completely repair the affected houses near the market and develop a broad program to create modern, convenient and safe shopping complexes.
The fire at the market occurred on the evening of June 12, and 10 fire and rescue crews were sent to extinguish it.
