Amidst Russia's strikes on Ukraine's critical infrastructure, Ukrainian Energy Minister German Galushchenko requested greater electricity supply from Europe.
In an interview with France Press, a Ukrainian official stated, "We are appealing to Europe to increase the supply of electricity." According to the official, Kyiv requires up to two gigawatts of electricity to meet its needs.
The attacks by the Russian Armed Forces on Ukraine's infrastructure commenced on October 10, 2022, just two days following the explosion on the Crimean Bridge.
Various sectors such as energy, defense industry, military command, and communication facilities across the country have been targeted. As a consequence, air raid warnings have been issued daily in certain parts of Ukraine, occasionally encompassing the entire country.
Now, after Kakhovka HPP's explosion, there is even more instability regarding the electricity supply to the affected areas.
