The European Union will provide gratuitous support to Uzbekistan, the press service of the Ministry of Economy and Finance reports.
On May 31, Minister of Economy and Finance, Sherzod Kudbiev, received an EU delegation led by EU Ambassador to Uzbekistan, Charlotte Adriaen.
Brussels intends to support the reform agenda of Uzbekistan in three areas: digitalization, green economy, and agriculture. This was announced by EU Ambassador to Uzbekistan, Charlotte Adrian, as she held negotiations with Uzbekistan ministries on May 31.
In the course of implementing the plans, an agreement was reached on signing a tripartite memorandum between the Ministry of Agriculture, the Ministry of Economy and Finance, and the EU Ambassador to Uzbekistan.
At the moment the European Union and the heads of Central Asian states are meeting in Kyrgyzstan at the European Union-Central Asia Summit. It is expected that many more agreements between the nations will be reached at the summit.
