Bogus $111,000 have been effectively intercepted from being circulated in Uzbekistan's capital Tashkent. The State Security Service, in collaboration with the PGO Department, executed an operation in the Sergeli district, which led to the apprehension of four individuals born between 1974 and 1982.
The suspects were caught red-handed with material evidence while attempting to sell 100,000 counterfeit bills for $70,000. Furthermore, counterfeit $10,950 were found in one of the detainee's apartments.
A criminal case has been initiated under Article 176-2 of the Criminal Code. The investigation is underway.
