Uzbekistan's Ministry of Energy on April 30 issued an official statement regarding the recent social media uproar regarding the price increase of AI-92 gasoline at UNG Petro filling stations. The ministry has clarified that there will be no increase in the prices of AI-92 gasoline, effective May 1.
The news of the price increase was published without the consent of the management, and responsible employees will be held accountable. Furthermore, the ministry has assured that gasoline prices are expected to go down in May to about UZS 7,500.
The information about the price hike was previously circulated on social networks, but the official statement from the Ministry of Energy serves as the definitive source on this matter.
