During his working visit to Türkiye, Yerlan Koshanov, Chairman of the Parliament of Kazakhstan, announced that the President of Kazakhstan had instructed the construction of social facilities in quake-hit areas of Türkiye, media reports.
Yerlan Koshanov also attended the Friendship Park of Kazakhstan and Türkiye opening ceremony in Ankara. The event was held to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Republic of Türkiye. During the ceremony, Koshanov wished the Turkish people peace and prosperity. He emphasized that the park's opening symbolizes the great friendship and cooperation between the two brotherly nations that share common roots, cultures, and history.
Besides, Yerlan Koshanov met with the President of the Grand National Assembly of the Republic of Türkiye, Mustafa Şentop, and conveyed his condolences to the people of Türkiye for the earthquake. Furthermore, he stated that President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev had instructed the construction of several social facilities in the quake-hit areas.
Koshanov also highlighted the significance of inter-parliamentary cooperation in further developing relations between the two countries. As a result, the parties signed a protocol on cooperation between the Majilis and the Great National Assembly.
