President Shavkat Mirziyoyev on April 12 received China's Foreign Minister Qin Gang. The meeting noted that bilateral relations had reached unprecedented levels thanks to the political will and joint efforts.
The two sides emphasized bilateral trade volume, which has doubled in recent years; joint ventures and projects have tripled. Besides, Uzbekistan has attracted some $11bn in Chinese investments.

Besides, the parties exchanged views on the international and regional agenda.
The importance of the speedy implementation of the China - Kyrgyzstan – Uzbekistan (CKU) railway project, for which the technical documentation is currently being prepared, was emphasized.
The meeting drew particular attention to the need to continue close coordination in the peaceful settlement of the Afghanistan situation and provide practical assistance to the country's socio-economic development.
